Nethis sat with her legs crossed as she listened to Mihail respond to her, though she kept Evras’s words in mind as the trio went on. This is the one thing Nethis knows Mihail is going to fight her on, she could just feel it as he was already providing reasons to consider the unknown woman, but this isn’t a battle he would win. Marriage is calculated, very rarely is it something that is truly of two lovers, if it is then it was by chance. What would a possible servant girl do for the Thanasi House? Other than provide mange or anything else unclean and poor. Nethis has no desire in sharing her family wealth with someone less than, because surely Mihail has respect for himself and for his family. A family made up of powerful women, it would upset Nethis to see her brother with a woman that is so…Insignificant. There were matters in place for Mihail, his marriage to a woman of noble status will surely come, though she knows he doesn’t fully understand the gravity of it all. Regardless of him being the youngest son, he is still a son with the name of Thanasi, therefore whomever he marries will be invited into their family. It will be of a House that have something to offer – Nethis will make sure of that.
Hearing of a Euphemia from the household of Kotas made the eldest Thanasi cringe, immediately her eyes glaring at Mihail in surprise. She was about to speak, but she felt Evras hand lightly touch her own as she was probably signaling Nethis to simmer down. Everyone, including Nethis, babies Mihail as he is the youngest of them all, yet it puts him at a disadvantage. Nethis never had the luxury of being sensitized, she was favored though she worked tirelessly to get to where is now… A power Lady to her House, damn near the Head. Mihail never had to learn that kind of pressure, but it is about time that someone teaches him the way the real world operates. Nethis has done it for Dysius, she will have to do it again for Mihail’s sake.
Mihail cleared the air of this Euphemia, but Nethis did not even try to hide the disapproval on her face as she sat with Evras still holding a hand on her. Nethis eyed Mihail with a daring expression as she spoke, “I would hope you have as much respect for yourself as you just claimed, dear brother,” Nethis continued as she removed her hand from her sister’s touch to stand up, “I do not like that there is a Euphemia in the Household of Kotas… Too close for my liking. At that, being a servant girl.” Nethis was to speak further, but she held back her tongue to change her words, “Regardless of what you disclosed to that girl and regardless of who she is…. Be careful to whom you give your heart to little brother.” Nethis looked at her brother a little while, before exhaling with a following goodbye, “Now, I must be on my way, it was great speaking with my siblings.”
Nethis grabbed the skirt of chiton to walk away before turning around, “I love the both of you and I will do anything to make sure our futures are nothing but in the favors of the gods.” With that, Nethis took her leave.

Evras chose to remain silent on Mihail's slight quip against the family she has married into. It wasn't as if it was a hidden knowledge that Mihail and Dysius, and to an extent Thea, was not entirely pleased with the Kotas family. They were the family that stood between the Thanasi and the throne of Colchis, and it was no secret that there was nothing Nethis coveted more. But Evras had grown up to be that odd middle child that found herself more often then not in the middle ground between her siblings, not entirely antagonistic to her husband's house, yet at the same time not overtly supportive of the aims of her elder sister's either. Evras simply wanted some form of peace and truce between their families.
Although with Mihail's next words, he effectively removed any hope Evras may ever have of her siblings changing the way they thought of her husband.
Despite her attempt to get her eldest sister who surely had her anger stirred at even the slightest hint that Mihail was favoring a common born woman, Evras still inwardly winced at her eldest sister's pointed words to their youngest. It was obvious Nethis would not stand for any relation the woman would have to the Kotas household, or even that he was a simple commonborn folk. The fact that she and Thea had orchestrated her meeting and eventual marriage to Zanon was already proof that both elder sister's was not going to allow such a powerful bargaining chip such as a son of a marriageable age to be played away so simply.
She never managed to escape that fate anyway.
Dipping her head in a respectful nod as Nethis walked away - she was still the eldest sibling and deserved their respect - she turned to her youngest brother, and gave a empathetic smile, reaching out to squeeze his fingers with hers. "Do not take things too far, Mihail. You do know the plans Nethis and Thea have for our house - don't attempt things without their knowledge. The consequences will not be favorable." Not that Evras liked the idea of Mihail liking a servant girl. Marriage and her son had softened her a fair amount, for before Evras too, had the lofty ambitions of her elder sisters. She did agree to the marriage between her and Zanon after all - there was something more then pure love motivating her, even if she may love her husband dearly.
Yet even if it made Mihail happy, Evras did not want to see the distraught and strife an argument between her siblings would rip upon the Thanasi house. To prevent that entirely would be her favor. "Shall we go and visit Father then? I heard from the servants he is up to visitors today, and Thea said it was one of his better days." she murmured, a soft smile as she tugged at Mihail, picking up her chiton to stand herself.
