Athanasia smiled up at her father as he told her that she could go exploring, telling her to not leave the stalls. He often told them to witness the populace, though Asia often never understood what he meant by it. Witness the populace, did he mean to watch everyone like she normally did? "Thank you, Pater. I will not be far, I promise." Looking over at Vangelis, and Silas as he tried to escape, as they were decked out in their pretty flowers, Asia made a silly expression while crossing her eyes before leaving. It was amusing to her that they were stuck while she got to go explore. It was fun being the youngest sometimes. She planned to ask Vang about pater's comment on witnessing the populace if she remembered, she did not notice that Vangelis told Silas to follow her. She did see one man in the distance that just seemed to be watching everyone as he drank from his cup, though she did not look long as her mind was on things within the shops. He was kinda pretty to look at, though she knew that looks weren't everything.
Asia was having fun as she passed around the singers and market people selling things, looking around, she found a bottle red stain that the egyptians used on their nails. Asia had picked up the bottle, she knew just who she would give this too, "I want to buy this."'2 drachma, or that fine pretty crown you got upon your head.' the stall keeper stated, eyeing her jewelry with a greedy look that made Asia's skin crawl. Taking out 2 gold coins from her bag, she handed them over before placing the ornate bottle carefully into her bag. Moving on, she went in search of sweets for little Dion.
It wasn't long till she found it, leaving with a huge bag full of the treats, fruit snacks and several drachma short, she was almost tempted to eat some herself. She knew that Dion would smile when he saw her goodie bag that she had for him. Just as she was about to see what else she could find, Asia suddenly she heard a very familiar, though not heard of in quite some time, voice behind her. 'Excuse me, I've been looking for my sister. Have you seen her?' Turning so quick that her skirts fanned around her, Athanasia's eyes went wide. "Yiannis? Please tell me I am not just dreaming you are here and that you are actually home!" Forgetting her position, Asia threw her arms around her big brother as she hugged him tightly. "Have you seen Pater yet? Mater? Vangelis?" Handing over her bag, she smiled up at her beloved brother; "I have a couple more things to get for Dion, he is sick. I will be back shortly!" Asia also didn't want to admit she was having fun on her own.. it was then that she saw Silas in the distance and Asia was inspired. "Look brother! Silas!" Turning Yiannis around towards their brother, Asia reached into a stall and grabbed a really ripe peach as she made a wild throw. She was aiming for her brother, but it wasn't her brother who she hit. Seeing the peach hit the one guy that caught her interest from before, the one that Asia thought was pretty, she watched it splatter across his red chiton. Since it was an over ripe peach, it had splattered good too. "Oh all the gods above, I wish that hit Silas. That would have been perfect." Seeing the growing look of horror, disgust, and rage play across the man's face one by one had Asia hold back her laugh as she placed the back of her hand against her mouth for a moment as she was still in shock. The moment seemed to last much longer than it was before Asia bolted. She knew she was faster than her brothers and smaller, so she fit around the carts and chariots as she ran for all she was worth as she escaped her brothers and hopefully they were being yelled at by that man now. She ran a little further, turning down a side street near the waters, pausing as she listened to the waves and caught her breathe.

Niobe had settled at his side once more, leaning to murmur something about someone in the group of people around them. He was listening intently as he finished his wine. Dark eyes skimmed the crowds. He was debating on which pretty face he should approach first.
He tilted his head, murmuring quietly to Niobe, “And you said there was a princess of Colchis here? Which one?” His tone was quiet as he conversed with his little spy. Despite their closeness, Elias did not have an arm around her, though she had her hands on him. Elias was lazy, which meant Niobe often had to keep on top of society itself, and remind him of the important people that may pave his way to the crown of Athenia. She kept him appearing competent. Usually.
“Athanasia of Kotas, my Lord.” Niobe supplied, with a slight, pained smile. It bothered her that her master was always searching for women that would better his position to take on the crown of his kingdom. It constantly reminded her that she was not enough. She understood the need, though. She was a commoner, though she hoped to one day be more after he had the crown. That was why she did this. “The youngest of the Kotas,” Niobe added, quietly. She was hoping to make a point—the young woman would not suit her lord’s purposes. He should not speak to her.
And yet, Elias quietly insisted that the youngest Kotas be pointed out to him, though the young woman was not immediately in their view anymore. Niobe had done her homework and begrudgingly gave him a description of the young woman. She also briefly described the rest of the Kotas family. Her master was extremely lazy, and unless he deemed somebody worthy of his time, he would almost immediately forget their face.
Niobe continued to describe people at the event, when a piece of fruit slammed into Elias’s chest, knocking the wine glass askew. He was not known for being quick to react, quick to dodge. In fact, Elias was not known as a fighter. Though he was known to be intimidating in his own right. His nostrils flared as he tossed the glass to the ground, dark eyes narrowed as he searched for the owner of the peach.
Instead, the only thing that he caught was the face of a young woman, trying not to laugh, and then she was gone. He cursed under his breath, and tried to clean himself up, as Niobe tittered: “Let me clean your face, here, hold on.”
Elias was silent in his anger as he let Niobe try to clean him up. The scent of peaches clung to his chiton, the sticky juice was drying to his face and hair. He willed himself to stay still as Niobe tried her best to clean him up.
He was silent, stoic, allowing Niobe to try to dab the peach and wine from his face and chiton with a glass of water and a cloth that someone had handed her, he was lost in his thoughts. He was thinking about how nice it might be to skewer the young woman that had thrown the vile fruit. How it might be nice to force feed her some of the disgusting, fuzzy orange mess that now lived on his clothing.
Once he deemed himself clean enough, he shoved Niobe aside and started walking. The revolting scent was going to stick with him until he bathed. Not only did he smell like peaches, but he had spilled what was left of his wine across his front too. He bit back a growl as he headed in the direction the culprit had run.
As he headed in this direction, though, he passed the vendor of the stall that the peach had belonged to. The common man was haggling for the price of the peach, despite the fact Elias had not stolen it. He grumbled under his breath and paid before he continued on his way. Stupid brat, whoever she was, she’d pay.
He had no business with the men she had been talking to. If he was going to get an apology, it would be from the culprit herself. As he walked past vendors and stalls, past people having fun, he was silent, stoic. He already did not smile so much as he smirked. But now, even the smirk was gone from his face.
Niobe, left without instructions, would start talking to the nearest male. She might as well make herself useful, lest she incur Elias’s wrath for herself. She was smug, though, knowing that she had not informed him that the woman that had flung the fruit was the very princess he had been asking about. That had been on purpose, she’d never attempt to sabotage Elias’s conquests unless she believed them to be unworthy of his time.
He turned down a side street and paused to watch the waters. A calming scene. The ocean scent washed over him, briefly removing the disgusting stench of peaches from his senses. He almost considered getting into the water, but… that would not do.
After taking a second to orient himself, he had to choose a direction—so he asked a man if he had seen a young woman. “She has long, brunette hair,” he continued to describe the woman from the brief glance he’d caught of her. The man was able to point him down the street, and Elias’ lips twisted into a brief smile—almost gleeful.
He was looking forward to this.
He continued to walk down the street at a steady pace, and the moment he saw her, he barked out, “Hey! You, girl.” His tone was even, though his anger was evident in the way he carried himself, especially evident in his dark eyes. She was catching her breath from the looks of it—her chest rising and falling, cheeks flushed with exertion. She had run rather hard, most likely ducking alongside chariots and through alleys to get here.
He had taken his time between being cleaned up (as best as Niobe was able) and finding her.
“You need to repay me the money for the peach that you threw, replace my chiton,” he stated firmly, as he stopped in front of her. “And apologize.”

After catching her breath, Asia made sure her crown had stayed in place along with all the ribbons that had decorated her hair, even if most of her braid fell out now. It was going to be less of a headache if she makes sure she didn't lose them or became a mess. Mater would never let her hear the end of it if somehow she did that again. Though she should know by now that somehow trouble followed Asia like a lamb followed it's shepard. She was somehow always causing it or in it. Letting out another breath, it felt like she could avoid being yelled at for being anything less than royal in her appearence. *Though once Mater hears what happened, she probably would wish I was dressed like I usually do when I am at practice..* That thought crossed her mind before she thought of her Pater's words as well, making her look around her.
Athanasia wasn't to far from the stalls so she could say that she just wanted fresh air but could still watch everyone like her father suggested, right? Who was she kidding, she was so going to be in trouble later. Not only did she leave the stalls area but she also slipped her guard. Was it her fault that she was just going to have a fun game of making her brothers pick on one another as she TRIED to buy them things to surprise them? In her mind the answer was no, it was theirs for having bad timing. The look on Yiannis's face still made her giggle as she threw that peach. She did not mean for it to hit a stranger, even if it was funny. The way that woman that drapped over him like a himation. He wasn't even holding onto her and yet she clung to him like fancy robe, it was like the gods took her peach and guided it. That had to be it. Her aim was impeccable.
Now that she was here by the water, Asia moved closer to the water's edge and slid off her sandles before placing her feet in the cool water. It was nice after the run she just had, it was nice to just sit by herself. The world on the other side of the wall seemed to move along, people laughed as the festival continued, and Asia tuned it all out to listen to the waves. She should have paid attention though because out of no where she heard a firm 'Hey! You, girl. making Asia jump just slightly as she looked around. Were they talking to her? Her eyes found him, the pretty one that somehow caught her peach to the chest. He did not look happy at all. How did he find her? Looking around for a moment, she slouched a little in defeat because she wasn't going to run. Atleast not right now, if he starts to make her fear for her life then she will. So keeping her feet in the water, she sighed as she turned slightly towards him.
She watched him, seeing some of the peach bits fall off of the chiton as he moved, before her eyes moved back up to reach his face as he almost stood over her. She tried to look unamused even as her heart was still trying to beat free from her chest after running so hard. The cool water hadn't started to work yet in cooling her off, as she tried to calm down her breathing. If she had to run again it would be such a pain if she was still winded. Hearing his demands, she said one word only. "Ok."
Asia was still working to catch her breathe, moving to her bag she shuffled through it to see how many coins she had left. This was supposed to be used to spoil her family, but depending on how much she counted out, it wasn't looking likely. Looking back over at him, she eyed his red chiton as she estimated at how much it possibly costed. Her mater made hers, so she wasn't a very good judge there even if she admired what she saw. It was sad such a handsome face seemed so immoveable. Grabbing out 2 silver obol for the fruit, she grabbed out the rest of her drachma, 15 in total. Reaching her hand out with the coins, she smiled sweetly,"I am sorry that the peach I was meaning to hit my brother with, missed and hit you. It was unintended. This is all that I have left. That should be able to buy you a whole brand new outfit. It was intended to get some stuff for my family, but atleast I was able to get what was I was originally after." She held her hand so he would see the coins and that she wasn't trying to trick him."I am impressed you were able to find me."

Elias took in her appearance as he neared her, the crown on her head, ribbons in her hair, and the way she had her feet in the water. Niobe could have told him that he was chasing after a princess. He would have been nicer, probably. Probably not, but it was too late to find out now. Besides, she’d thrown a peach at him. A peach!
Elias studied the handful of coin, the sweet smile on her face. Before him was a woman that was used to getting what she wanted, if he had to guess. He accepted the coin, even as she explained herself to him. He didn’t care for her explanation, and replied simply: “You shouldn’t be throwing rotten fruit at anyone, it’s rude and dangerous. Some people have allergies, you know.” He did not.
He just had a genuine hatred for the fruit and anything related to the fruit, it stemmed back from his childhood, though he was loath to think about the specifics involving the fruit, the color of the fruit. He almost scowled, before remembering himself. He listened to her, as she expressed the fact he had impressed her by finding where she was.
He did not smile, nor did he smirk, simply tossing a nod over his shoulder, “A few people saw you running, princess. It wasn’t hard to go from there.” He tucked the coins into his coin pouch, safely depositing it back into its original place, as he studied her.
He could just hear Niobe in the back of his mind, tittering that he was a mess and not fit to be seen. It was true, the chiton was ruined. “Do you know any good vendors that sell chitons?” He was not very well-versed in Colchis (or perhaps he was and he merely wanted to see what he could learn from the princess), so he’d need a guide if he was to clean up and make himself presentable again.
Elias wasn’t sure this young lady would be much use to him, and he hated the idea that Niobe had been right in suggesting he not speak with her. But still, the crown atop her head… She was a princess, and that counted for something. He had yet to introduce himself—the words he would hear from his father later, he could imagine they would not be very pleasant.
He made no move to introduce himself, even now, as he turned to scan what little of the crowd he could see for Niobe. She was probably trying to find him, drape herself across him as she often preferred to do. It was really annoying, but he knew turning her away would upset her, so he simply dealt with it.

Asia could see him studying her, probably thinking that she was the worst sort even as she smiled up at him. For some reason, his ire amused her. She doubted he ever had anyone laugh at him or treat him in any such matter other than some weird form of worship or something similar to how that woman was draped over him. Athanasia never had time for men like that, any suitor that came to call on her, she was quick to have them run away. This one either knew who she was or was trying to guess it as she handed over the coins. When he was commenting on people having allergies, Asia did feel a little bad about that, especially with her nephew being sick now. "You are right, and for that I am sorry. I was meaning to hit my brother because I wanted to explore the market on my own without a guard always around me and following me." With a sigh, Asia looked out at the water, looking at nothing in particular as her feet dangled in the small waves. "It's not often I get to be alone, not unless I am in the forest, my pater said I could explore today. Yet I still had my brothers tailing me. So I tried a distraction, something thought up on the spot to cause a little chaos and I could disappear. It is hard to surprise family with gifts when they never leave your side."
Looking back up at him, she tilted her head slightly to the side as she studied him, "Are you allergic to peaches?" She wondered if that was why he was so mad, but he did not look like he was turning red or anything. Didn't look like a puffer fish and swelling. He just looked annoyed. As she expressed how impressed she was that he found her, she nodded when he mentioned that people saw her running and guided him right too her. It made sense, the streets were full of people today for the festival so there were bound to be people who saw her. "The water is nice, if you want to rinse yourself off." It was a side comment, but she was sure he was sticky still, even if the fruit chunks no longer stuck to him.
When he mentioned about vendors and asking if any sell chitons, she nodded, "I do know of some, though they aren't as good as Mater's, but they will do nicely." With a small sigh, she pulled her feet from the water, drying them off before sliding on her sandles and standing up. He was a few inches taller than her, but atleast she didn't have to lean so far back to meet his eyes like she did her brother. Moving away from him, she led the way back into the crowd as she found the one seller that she got her tunics from. The outfits her mater forbad her from wearing. When they stepped inside the small covered area, the shop keeper smiled, 'The usual tunics today?' Asia was mortified though she could not answer why she was, looking over her shoulder, she gave a nervous laugh before looking back at the shop keeper. Her cheeks bright red. "No. This gentleman needs one of your finest chitons. I shall leave you two be." Athanasia left quickly, not moving to far to where she could hear snippets of their conversation but also give privacy.

Elias would have chuckled if he had known how quickly Athanasia would figure him out. He enjoyed when women were smart, though he often found that women who were smart were also quick to judge him based entirely on lies and rumors.
So either she wasn’t into judging, or she had no idea who he was. Her apology didn’t even get a smirk, instead she received a sigh. “Do you not think that looks childish? Throwing fruit across a busy festival-ground?” He inquired, irritation clear in his voice. Though he was internally amused.
She mentioned going into the forest and he tilted his head. “Do you visit the forest often, just to get away from your guard and family? Why?” Neutral, easy toned, he studied the young woman. So desperate to be allowed out by herself—this was not an issue that Elias had, and he found himself thankful for being born a man. But he could not help wondering what made her wish to rid herself of her guards so often.
He was looking for secrets. He could understand that he was the distraction, though that made his frown deepen. That was not the sort of distraction he had wanted to be. Then she turned talk towards those delectable horrid fruits, and he spat out: “No.” He offered her no more information, there was nothing else to offer about his hatred for peaches. But it was not an allergy.
She mentioned the water and he shook his head slightly. “That won’t make me feel better.” And it would draw unwanted attention towards him, he was sure. He was already looking around them, towards the stalls and vendors as she slipped her sandals on and stood. Elias followed at a languid pace, letting her take the lead—she knew Colchis better than he, after all.
As they entered a stall, the shopkeeper spoke to the young lady he was with, asking about tunics, and he raised an eyebrow. Her cheeks flushed red, and she was quick to leave him with the shopkeeper. Elias raised an eyebrow, watching her go. “Strange girl, is she not?”
The shopkeeper chuckled quietly, ‘Not everyone likes dresses, do they, my lord?’ Elias offered a quiet laugh in reply. The shopkeeper took some measurements, and found a chiton in Elias’s size. ‘Is this satisfactory?’
“Indeed.” He let the man wrap the chiton, and paid him, the new chiton safely tucked under his arm. “Have a good day,” he dipped his head. As he left the vendor behind, his gaze roamed the people, until he found the familiar head of hair with a crown attached, that he was looking for.
“I need somewhere to clean up and change.”
There had still been no introductions, though he had certainly gleaned who she was, he’d still let her introduce herself later. “And then, perhaps you and I can have a proper conversation. Not about peaches or clothes.” He stated, and his tone did not give away what kind of conversation he wanted to have.

When the man asked her if she thought it was childish to throw fruit across a busy festival area, Asia admitted that it possibly was, though she kept that thought to herself. To him she replied instead, "Perhaps, but it is fun to be childish sometimes. Just think, if I didn't, I never would have had the chance to have this conversation with an interesting, though annoyed, stranger." Was she playing up the charm even as his irritation amused her? Yes she was, but it was for more reasons than just finding him interesting at the moment. If her parents found out that she was here without her brothers, having a conversation with a stranger... Not only would she be in trouble, but who knows what the men in her family may do. She didn't want his pretty face bruised yet, and she could do that very well on her own if she must.
Talking of wanting to just being alone and having her freedom, Athanasia didn't even realize that she mentioned the forest till he asked about it, her eyes looked up in surprise as her cheeks turned pink. How would she ever be able to explain it to someone who looks like he never leaves the senate or a city? "I just do. It is quiet, no one around, no titles. I can hunt, shoot my bow, or do whatever I want to do." For a moment, she narrowed her eyes as she looked at him, not wanting him to tell anyone. She gets in enough trouble as is, everyone always mad when she goes off on her own in the woods ever since she was little. "Don't you dare say anything to anyone about that either." His tone was neutral, her tone was not as it held its own warning. Turning the conversation back to the peaches and possible allergies, Athanasia noticed his frown even as he spat out his quick 'No' in response. His responses made her smile again, "Hmmm.. that is good. Peaches are so good, juicy and sweet. Next to apricots, they are my second favorite fruit."
Was she being mean as she kept bringing up peaches even as the man seemed to really dislike them? Yes she was, though she was having loads of fun doing it. Suggesting the water to clean up, everything was denied except for to find new clothes. Athanasia knew of a place that sold some sturdy fabrics that would help the guy out. She never anticipated that the shop keeper would bring up tunics at that point though, making her embarassed even as she knew she probably shouldn't be. It wasn't UNHEARD of for women to wear tunics, but they were normal working women, not princesses.
Leaving the men quickly to do their buisness, Asia spotted a fruit stand nearby, making her grin as she walked over to them. Everyone in this area knew who she was, having snuck out several times, and from all the public gatherings. So when she pointed to one peach and one apple, with the promise to pay them back the next day, she smiled as she took a bite into the juicy fruit. When she heard his voice behind her stating that he needed a place to clean up, Asia did an over exagerated gasp as she smiled in her sarcasim, "Why yes, I do know where you can get cleaned up and changed, I am glad you asked so nicely." Tossing the apple up in the air, giving him more than enough time to know she got it for him and for him to catch it as she turned and left in a huff. He could at least ASK her where something is instead of always seeminly ordering her around. Jerk. Not even looking to see if he was following, Asia took another bite of her peach as she lead the way near a stream with an small cluster of trees that made a nice cover for anyone seeking privacy. "You can change and get cleaned up here." She didn't even comment on his earlier statement about a proper conversation that didn't involve any peaches or clothes, if he found her again, then they could have a chat. Leaving him be, she followed the stream further down till it reached the ocean again, and there she stuck her feet back in the cool water as she finished her snack and enjoyed the breeze as she wondered if he would even find her this time. When he did, she just patted the ground next to her, inviting him to sit before she tossed the pit into the ocean waves.

Elias listened—he was taking notes, of course he was. She was pretty. He was certain she was the princess he had been asking Niobe about. The tiara in her hair, the outfit she had on… though they had yet to exchange names. What an odd way to meet royalty. He would have to apologize for that oversight once he was cleaned up.
She found him interesting. At that, Elias smirked. Most women found him interesting. Whether interesting stood for ‘pretty’ or some other interest, usually Elias could fit that bill. She was childish, she was rebellious, and… she was threatening him?
His smirk grew. She didn’t like titles, she could hunt, it was quiet in the forest, use her bow… She used a bow? He hummed softly, “Of course, of course. I would never wish to deprive the lady of her pastimes.” He sounded smug, though, like she had just gifted him a secret. She revealed she liked apricots, peaches. How anyone could like peaches… He would never understand. But he could use it to his advantage.
The fact she had continued to bring up peaches was… not relevant. She was trying to get a reaction, and his father was the worst offender for those kinds of things. So, he did not react. He would not give her the satisfaction of a reaction. Not right now.
When the shopkeeper mentioned tunics, well, Elias had to make a comment. He was learning what she liked, easily picking her apart. There was more to this woman, but he was gaining enough intel without even Niobe’s help. And he kind of felt proud of himself for that simple fact.
When he had found acceptable replacements for his clothes, he left the stall behind and sought the young woman. She was eating a peach, and he fought back a scowl, catching the apple she tossed into the air. “Mmm, aren’t you just the picture of pleasant conversation?” He murmured, biting into the fruit. It was just right, flooding his mouth with a sweet flavor. Sarcastic little mouth she had.
She did not seem to care if he followed, and she almost left him behind, though he kept up. She led him to a cluster of trees, and he raised his eyebrows at her. She was serious. Shaking his head, Elias muttered something about poor accommodations, though he slipped into the cluster of trees. He undressed and cleaned himself the best he could, as undignified as he deemed it. When he was dry enough to change clothes, he left his previous wear on the ground, and exited the cluster.
Elias snorted, “I didn’t think she’d just run away from me, gods above.” She was certainly different than most of the women he tried to get close too. Usually women were falling over themselves to be first in line with him. But this woman…
She intrigued him.
She had his attention.
Where she followed the stream until she reached the ocean again, he went back towards the marketplace, wondering if she had returned to get more fruit. He did not find her there, though, and eventually headed back towards the water. She had been there earlier.
While he wandered alongside the stream, until it reached the ocean, somewhere around there a little puppy had started after him, hot on his tail. He ignored it, though not out of cruelty, he simply believed it belonged to some children that he passed. But when he had found her, and the pup was still there, he studied it closer.
Taking a seat next to her, he patted the ground next to himself, so that he could look the dog over. “You are a hard woman to find, you know.” He was petting the dog, and he realized—
“I’m sorry, I do not think I caught your name earlier.”

Athanasia could see the smirk on his face grow when she mentioned that he was interesting, of course he took that as a compliment. Following the rules of hostess, Asia fought with all her will not to roll her eyes just then. The thought of her mater finding out was more than enough to keep herself in check with that one. When the forest was mentioned and Asia tried to explain in as little details as possible, the man's offhanded comment about not wanting to deprive her of her pastimes, earned him a glare. His smug tone didn't help matters either. Talking about peaches, Asia was finding out that it seemed like this man really didn't like them.
The fact that he did not react when she pushed it was telling to her, after her seemed to rage with anger after the fruit hit him before, she gathered that he knew she was trying to get to him with it. It was like Silas when she was being annoyingly loud just to mess with him, that straight panned expression told her more than if he outright scowled. The thought had her giggle at just how much she could possibly annoy this man today if he kept bossing her around. Once she was alone with her thoughts, Athanasia saw a stall that sold peaches and it gave her the idea to buy another one. She was tempted to buy two, but why waste a peach? So instead she picked an apple out for him. He was lucky she was nice and went for the reddest one instead of a green one.
This man just kept ordering her around, left and right, without even so much of a please. It was starting to irk her, so when he commented on her pleasant conversational skills, Asia was quit to turn to face him as she held her finger up with her annoyance clear on her face. "Look. I said I was sorry about the peach and I have been more than nice in showing you where you can get replacement clothing. I gave you all the money I had on me, and I am helping you find somewhere to get cleaned up. You could atleast throw in a please to show that you were not raised in a barn and have some sembilance of basic manners!" She never gave him a chance to respond to her venting as she turned away and stormed off without even seeing if he was still following her.
In a bit of revenge for all the frustration, Athanasia led him to an outcrop of trees to get changed, smiling ever so sweetly at his shock while taking a big bite of the peach she had. Motioning with her hands that the area was open for him to use, Asia did giggle when he shook his head before slipping into the trees. Now was her chance to go for a stroll, she was sure he would find her. His temperment seemed to tell her that unless he was finally frustrated enough, he would keep finding her. Like an annoying fly to a piece of fruit.
Asia made it to the ocean and took a deep breath of calm, the breeze comforting her and cooling her temper. Outside of the forests, the ocean was her second favorite place next to being home. So with her feet in the water, she ate her peach in silence while people sounds faded in the sound of waves. Athanasia was lost in thought before she heard footsteps coming up behind her, making her turn and see him coming. "I knew you would find me. You seem stubborn enough." When he sat next to her, she then noted the puppy as she arched her brow as she studied him as he petted the little creature. "Friend of yours?" Asia couldn't answer why his apology amused her, but she couldn't stop the grin as it spread, "No, you didn't because you were to busy yelling at me to ask for it." Athanasia kicked her feet in the water, letting the coolness travel over her ankles before she continued. "Princess Athanasia of House Kotas. When you aren't being an ass, when it is just like this, you may call me Athanasia. When you are being an ass, you can just say 'your highness'" She couldn't answer why, but she didn't want him to call her Asia like her family or friends did. "What is your name?"

She gave him a reaction—snapping ire clearly in her tone. Elias liked that fire, that spark. He wanted to fan it and see just how explosive she could be, but she was quick to leave him alone. By the time they had reunited, the chance to fan the fire was gone. Oh, the spunk was there, but the fire was not.
She chastised him, and he rolled his eyes, chuckling quietly. He leaned towards her, so that his shoulder touched hers, as he continued to pet the pup. “Well, Your Highness, Elias, when we’re not being so formal. But since you insist on formality… Lord Elias of House Stravos,” his voice was smooth, honeyed.
He’d certainly found the princess he had been looking for.
“As for the pup, no friend of mine, though it seems to think it is.” He continued to scratch the little creature’s chin, dark eyes staring across the ocean as he straightened next to her. “I accept your apology, for the earlier folly with the fruit.” He stated, not looking at her.
It did not bother Elias that he had been so rude to royalty. The young woman next to him did not seem to wish her rank upon others. She did not wish to impose herself as the royalty that she was, if he had read her right. That was disappointing, but also promising.
“Want him?” He lifted the pup up onto his lap, offering it to her. “I thought he belonged to some children a few streets over, but nobody’s come looking, and now that I’ve got him… he looks raggedy. Needs some care. Don’t much care for pets, myself.”
He had the time for a pet, certainly. He just did not want the scraggly mutt. “So, princess,” dark eyes left the ocean blue to find the young woman’s face, “What does one have to do to get in your good graces?” Point blank, the question was implied.
He was here, had been talking to her for a while now. He might as well continue to garner information for himself. He couldn’t very well use Niobe. She was not the one that he wanted sinking their claws into a princess. He was trying to remember what Niobe had told him about Athanasia.
She was supposed to be untouched, innocent. Sheltered.
Sheltered girls were some of his favorites, they could be so wild with the right encouragement… Plus the idea of a girl that nobody else had touched, had been intimate with? It was almost as sweet as the apple she had given him to eat, if not sweeter.

Asia saw the eye, arching her brow as he laughed at her getting onto him. This man seemed unshakeable, even when she knew she smelled of peaches after eating one in her attempt at driving him away, but somehow he kept showing up. Maybe Aphrodite was trying to spite her stubborness and throwing a cute guy her way? After she introduced herself, she was surprised when he bumped her shoulder with his own in a playful move that was much different from the anger he had shown previously. "I would say that it was a pleasure meeting you, but that still remains to be determined. Surprising, yes.. pleasent? Unsure just yet." She figured he was playing the ass part since he called her 'your highness' to which Athanasia rolled her eyes in response. His tone that he was suddenly using had her on edge, sounding so much like the visiting suitors that tried to win her hand, it sent a shiver up her spine.
At noticing the puppy, she couldn't help but question if it was a new friend of his, smiling when he said it wasn't. "That is too bad, it is rather cute and friendly. Much different from any first impressions that you gave." Making a kissy face at the pup as she scratched it behind the ears. "Maybe you should take it home? It might help that temper." Now she gave him a real smile as she teased him, unable to help herself. Atleast he accepted her apology for the peach, she really didn't mean to hit anyone outside of her brothers, so while it was funny she did feel bad about it.
When Elias offered the puppy, Asia hesitated. She never had anything for herself, pet wise, other than her horse and even she was taken care of by the stable hands. "I am not sure, I never cared to have a pet before." The uncertainty in her voice was clear as she eyed the tiny beast. It was enjoying the attention it was getting, looking like it was smiling with it's tongue hanging out to one side. Athanasia went over all the things that she might need to have it taken care of, picturing it running through the halls at home. A moment passed before she nodded to herself, "Ok, I will take him, even though he seems to like you." Asia lifted the small beast from Elias' lap to meet him eye to eye, smiling when he licked her nose. Looking it over, she could see that it was all black except for one white spot on it's foot, almost like it was wrapped in linen, "I think I shall name you...Achilles. Mighty warrior with only one tiny flaw in his foot." Looking over at Elias, she smiled as she pulled the small pup close in a hug. "Thank you... Elias."
As she paid attention to the little mutt, Athanasia almost missed Elias' question about getting into her good graces, which made her laugh. "You think you can, but it would take a lot of work." Looking over at him out of the corner of her eye, she smiled down at the pup in her arms. "Most men run screaming for the hills, never to be heard from again." Surprisingly, the bouncy little Achilles seemed to calm down as she ran her finger down his muzzle and back, a similar move her Ntanta did to help Asia sleep at night. "Where would you take me if I asked you to show me your favorite spot, where you are just truly and unequivocally you?" Looking over at him, she wondered just what his answer would be. Would he be open or would he try to appeal to her tastes? She wondered if he would show her, himself.

Curveball A Decade of Peace
As discussions between the kings and the High Priestess come to a close, there is a subtle nod given to a band of soldiers marking the front lawn of the Temple. Each possesses a horn fastened at their hip. With a single nod from their sovereign King Tython, each is lifted to their lips and sounded.
The tone is soft but deep of belly and heart. It through the air, like a heartbeat brought slowly to the height of adrenaline. Or a soul bolstered with courage. The single note rises louder, bringing conversations to a sudden end and drawing focus. Sentences are hurried to a close and faces turn towards the front steps of the Temple. The three Kings of Greece stand beside one another, enough space between them to honour each of their own status. Zenon stands at the centre, Minas to his right and the colchian king upon the left. To one side, the High Priestess Kallista and her ladies are a demure audience ready to play aides to the monarchs if necessary.
As the crowd quietens, King Tython of Kotas raises his hands, intention greeting both his own people and those who have travelled to honour the peace. He remains there, awaiting the focus of all before he speaks...

Elias had not figured that she had eaten the peach to try to run him off; he thought she enjoyed them, as she had said she did. “Ah, uncertainty is just as good as certainty, under the right circumstances, you know.” He chuckled softly, more at his own joke than anything else. It was a poor joke, after all.
She jested at him about how the puppy was cute and friendly and he was not. “Mmm, I do not think it would like the long trip we would have to take.” He admitted, reaching to scratch the pup behind the ears. “Though perhaps I should take some hints from the lovely lady at my side, and learn to be… more approachable.” He raised an eyebrow, “But only if the lady in question promises not to throw anymore fruit at people.”
She was hesitant to accept the puppy. The young woman admitted she had never cared for an animal by herself before, and he shrugged, “There is not too much to taking care of a puppy, feed it, bathe it, walk it, cuddle it.” He shrugged. Niobe took care of any animals he deemed fit to care for—usually. Staff cared for those like horses and other large animals.
Eventually, she nodded and accepted the puppy. She named it, and he grinned softly at the name, at the smile. Gods above, she had a lovely smile. “You are welcome, Athanasia. Perhaps I will visit Achilles, next time I’m in this part of Greece,” he offered absently. He would not admit that he would miss the tiny little creature; but he was certain it would be happier here.
Asia declared it would take a lot of work to get into her good graces, and Elias just offered a charming smile. “If it did not take work, I think it would be boring.” So many women were eager to get into bed with him. He never really knew the women he took to bed. She was watching him as she played with the pup. Probably for a reaction. “You send your suitors running for the hills? How mysterious.”
He wanted to learn more about her. She asked a question, and he paused. No one had ever asked him a question like that before. He thought about the provinces in Athenia, what they offered, and answered slowly: “Well, my favorite provinces within Athenia are Aetaea and Arcasis. Aetaea is… this beautiful forest, almost, smack in the center of the kingdom. You would probably like Aetaea. Arcasis, though, is called the city of gold. It’s got fields and fields of grain, that catch the sun and glitter like gold upon the world.”
He shrugged gently. “Arcasis has something for everyone, like a paradise, I think some would say.” Her question, though, he had yet to answer: “I would take you to Aetaea. If I was seeking to charm you, the hunting grounds there would be more than up to your standards. But Arcasis—”
Horns sounded, and she stood, preparing to leave. She tucked the pup into her arm and by the time Elias went to stand; she was pulling him upright and pulling him along with her. She led them through alleys, cutting through buildings and stalls. They were avoiding the crowd entirely. For a moment, Elias could see Colchis as Athanasia saw it—from the alleys and back ways that she seemed keen to occupy.

Athanasia shook her head but smiled at Elias' teasing. He confused her, ordering her about like she was a servant and he the master, and now teasing her. So many different facets of this man that she has seen within the past hour or so, it was different than she was used too. When he offered the puppy and Asia teased him about him learning a thing or two from it, his comment earned him a small kind of sad smile as she watched him scratch the little beast behind the ears. "It might, though I do agree that it wouldn't possibly like the swaying of any boat." It was then that Elias caught Athanasia off guard as he turned and suggested that she give him hints to become more approachable. The look he gave her, and the tone he used, made heat rush to her cheeks as she looked away and out at the ocean. "I can't promise not to throw anymore fruit at people, but I will promise not to throw any in a crowd unless I need too." That was the best she was going to offer at that moment, though why did she even want to, that was what scared her to not even thinking it.
When Elias offered the puppy, she admitted that she didn't know what to do and that she never had a pet of her own before that she took care of. It made her smile when he commented on what she would need to do and implied that it should be fairly easy to do, which comforted Asia and helped her in her choice of accepting the little puppy. When she looked over the little pup in her arms, after taking it from Elias' lap, she named him Achilles. As she hugged him close and gave Elias a smile as she thanked him. She didn't have her guard up, so when Elias said her name, Athanasia didn't expect the feeling of goosebumps dancing over her skin. It almost reminded her of a storm when Zues was angry and the sky was lit with his lightning bolts. She didn't even know if she liked the feeling or not even as she did her best to ignore it and his smile. She tried to push him away with the threat that all her suitors have run for the hills, but somehow that seemed to peek his interest more. She kept her focus on the ocean and Achilles in her lap after that, hoping that the feeling will pass.
Changing the topic quickly and asking where he would show her that truly spoke to him and allowed him to be himself, Athanasia did not anticipate to be swept up in his answer. Listening to how he spoke of the forest in Aetaea, Athanasia closed her eyes as she imagined the forest he spoke of and then the golden fields of grain of Arcasis. When he mentioned that he would take her to Aetaea if he was seeking to charm her, Athanasia smiled. The horns sounded right when he was mentioning Arcasis, making him pause, with a deep and resounding tone that seemed to go right through her very core, making her pause in her talk with Elias. “We have to go.. or at least I do. Tell me more about Arcasis later?” This had to be what her pater meant when he told her to 'Witness the populace.' Picking little Achilles up and tucking the pup in her arm, Asia grabbed Elias' hand with her free one and pulled him up. “Come on, we can not miss this.” Pulling Elias along, Athanasia started to take short cuts through small ally ways as she avoided the hoards of people as they made their way to the center where the horns sounded. Looking back at Elias, she wondered what he was thinking as they moved through the alleys, cutting between buildings and stalls that helped them pass through at a fairly quick pace compared to the crowd that moved not far from them. “We are almost there. They should all be at the Temple.” Asia could see the Temple as they rushed through the shortcuts, occasionally disappearing from sight and coming back. This whole time, she never let go of Elias' hand, even as the puppy seemed to try and wiggle free at times. They were free of the buildings and now needed to wiggle through the crowd to get to the front, thankfully it seemed like a few recognized her and moved out of her way, making a clearer path for her to the front.
