It was one of those days that the market really didn't interest her. Really, truly it didn't. She had found herself in the market earlier in the day, but had found herself bored and wandering the streets of Judah as she often did when the mood struck her like this. On days like these, she just couldn't get her mind to focus on anything. She could sit and stare at the sky for hours, letting her curiosity grip her and sometimes wishing that she could draw. Truthfully, she had nowhere in mind to end up, so long as she ended up sitting somewhere in the sun, watching the sky and the clouds above her head.
They reminded her of the sea, which she had seen a few times in her life. But she also wondered what life would be like outside of Judea. Her former lover had told her a few things, but at the time she really hadn't paid much attention to the words he said so much as the feeling of the love that he showered upon her. She basked in the glow of honeyed words, and that was all that she had needed to survive. She hadn't needed his musings of the world away from Yahweh's shores.
Wandering until she found a sunny spot in a courtyard to relax, Talora took the moment to settle in and make herself comfortable. She watched the sky rather than the people that passed her by on the street, her mind filled with the curiosities of the world and all of the things that she still wanted to see. She appreciated stories much more now than when she had been a teenager, and found herself daydreaming much more than she ever had before now that she was older.
For a woman who knew only Judea, she truly did want to see what was outside of their realm. She'd heard stories of Egypt and Bedoa, Greece and lands even further to the north, east, and west. Humming to herself, she didn't truly pay attention to anything but the sky. Most especially, she didn't lay her gaze on the people around her, leaving her open to be an easy target if someone so wished.
