Dearest Gold
I know that we've little last we were together by that fountain known only to us, but I refused to go on much longer without hearing from you!
I miss you, dreadfully so, and am pained by the distance made apparent between us! Yet, I take comfort in those brief, but recurring memories about you, about the paleness of your beautiful brown eyes, of the light of your golden hair, and of the soft, unspoken gentleness of your lips pressed against mine! Why the Fates push us away is a mystery yet uncovered, to my infinite frustration! May the Gods grant me respite from our separation, and grant us one more time for me to hold you in my arms again like last we did.
I took the liberty of sending you this small trinket from Arcanaes, and it immediately reminded me of you. It might be too bold of me to send such a gift to you, and I am sure it is small in comparison to the rest of the jewelry that you own, but it would be an honor if one of your delicate fingers wore it, a small little affront to all who made it difficult for us to savor a moment together, and a tiny secret which's meaning is known only to us.
I long to hear from you, my dear. And, if you would but spare me but just a fragment of your words upon pen, I would delight and feel my strength renewed again. As last I had you, I remain ever hopeful to once more be reunited. Until then, may these words offer you the touch I wish I could impart upon you.
Yours Truly
Silver
(Attached to the letter is a small, but exquisitely crafted golden ring with silver details and a small gemstone, a subtle gift that is meant to be more symbolic than anything else)
