The Pantheon stands in the centre of the Campus Aggripae as a monumental tribute to the gods. Its grandeur is unmistakable even from afar, dwarfing many of the surrounding buildings. The temple itself is framed by columns of polished marble and crowned by a vast, coffered dome that is open to the sky through a central oculus. Light pours in from this space, casting shifting beams upon the marble floors, which are inlaid with intricate geometric mosaics, and creating a reverse sundial, where the hours are marked not by shadow but by light — some might even call it the light of the gods. Around the central circular room are small alcoves and, within each, a figure of a deity stands tall. Beneath their feet, incense burns and visitors lay their offerings on raised altars, reverently asking for favour. Though the space is impressively large, it it feels neither empty nor impersonal, and every meeting with the gods feels like an intimate affair.
