Though small, the Aqua Severiana proves a valuable aqueduct to the people of Southtown. The source of water for both their wells and the Baths of Antoninus alike, the aqueduct was constructed with precise stonework engineered for maximum efficiency. Its arches rise with calculated grace, their sturdy blocks interlocking seamlessly in a display of functionality many would not expect from such an unassuming structure. The arches cast rhythmic shadows over the roads beneath them, providing a moment of shade to those that pass by, and, although the aqueduct itself is unadorned, there is a sense of quiet grandeur to the waterway as the stone glows golden in the sunlight. Water flows smoothly through its carefully calibrated channels, a steady stream that never falters, and which, in many ways, serves as the beating heart of Southtown.
