The south of Roma has a balmier climate and is idyllic in nature. Vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, woodlands are a pretty addition to the hillsides and the coast is never more than a day or so journey. The south enjoys more tropical weather, good rainfall, fine fishing and active indulgence in the arts. These southern provinces also include the island that will one day be known as Sicily but, for now, is divided into the large provinces of Lilbaeum and Syracuse.
