He rarely had terrible days, if ever, but today was most certainly the worst. To be fair- he wasn’t crying that hard- his tears were louder than the sobs he made, but it was still loud enough for Amiti to hear. Thaddeus didn’t acknowledge his brother, and only did so to try and make him give him space. Gwyn had left, and he hadn’t gotten what he wanted- it hurt his pride and he was feeling absolutely abandoned. He didn’t answer if he was hurt or not, but he did raise his voice at his brother. It was the first time he had done so, and although he instantly regretted it, he did not apologize immediately. He just wanted to be alone to deal with everything that had happened, but apparently, Amiti wasn’t going to let him do so.
Thaddeus flinched when Amiti hissed at him, knowing that his brother was angry. He had every right to be. Amiti had done a lot for him and all he had gotten was yelled at… But That was quiet and didn’t reply. He rubbed his face on his arm as he listened to Amiti’s words, and almost sighed in relief that Amiti was going to walk away. He knew he fucked up but he wanted peace for a least a few moments. He moved to follow Amiti, though slowly and stopped when Amiti turned back around. Thaddeus looked at his brother with a sad expression. “I’m sorry!” he called out, before obeying his brother. He felt bad for yelling at him, but not so much about the fact that he was upset. In Thaddeus’s eyes, he had every reason to be upset. After a moment of pause, Thaddeus started to follow Amiti once more, smoothing out his hair with his hand. Once he reached the door, he wiped his face with his arms and looked at Amiti before closing the door.
“I apologize for yelling at you, there was no reason to and I really shouldn’t have.” Thaddeus glanced up at his brother before looking at the floor. “You don’t need to punish me, though, because I’ve already been punished by Yahweh today.” He spoke softly before turning and heading towards his room. “I’m going into my room, and I’m not coming out!” He spoke this as if it was an announcement to the world. He was over today, and he just wanted everyone to stay away, including his brothers. He reached his room and turned the handle, with every mind to go in and slam it locked once he was inside.
