Considering he had assumed Neena to be a know-it-all with everything, for the first time Kreios showed some form of surprise when she actually stated cooking was not one of her talents. Kreios had half expected the petite sized lady to declare herself able to cook for King's as well, for all she's been parading around to his crew members. Without a word, he merely watched as she marched out with his fruit in her hand - well, it didn't matter whose fruit it was, he had bought it to ensure they were all fed afterall.
"She isn't a girlfriend." he instinctively retorted, a sharp lilt in his voice, but then raised a brow with Lukos's question. The man knew how to cook? And here he though the pirate was good for nothing but yelling at people to bring things for him, being waited on hand and foot.
But if the man was offering to cook, Kreios wasn't going to complain. The man was partial to seafood, fish and squid being one of his favorites, but his cooking skills were seriously subpar. Of course, he did not mind spending the money to pay for tavern food, but he had not been able to resist buying the fish so fresh from the ocean, it now seemed a pity to let it go to waste.
So instead watched as Lukos located and pulled out a pan from a table nearer to the back of the house which, while clean, had definitely seen better days. For the first time, the merchant did as was told, grabbing the paper wrapped fish and handed the floppy, highly dead creature to the pirate, before heading out to the back garden. He would head back in later when he could smell the fish cooking, and maybe, just maybe, the pirate and himself could find some common ground whilst they shared a meal.
Maybe.
