Circenia was tempted to keep up this cycle for hours as her husband threatened, if only because it had been so long since she’d felt Keikelius’s touch. The tension that had grown between them in the prior weeks was nigh unbearable and to finally have it released in such a satisfying way… she was loath for it to stop any time soon. When times were good and all was well, they had spent nearly every night indulging in each other, memorizing every line of the other’s body as they found ways both new and old to bring each other delight. All these nights without it were borderline torturous, and she couldn’t stand it any longer. She needed everything he would give her and more.
However, she was also an impatient woman who wanted what she wanted when she wanted it. The combined motion of his lips, tongue, and fingers was quickly building her to a second end, all rational thought slipping away from her as she succumbed to the pleasure he provided. Writhing beneath him, her hands balled up in the bedclothes, her hips bucked against his mouth, and her core tightened around his fingers, hovering right on the verge of bliss. Just before she could cross it, she felt Keikelius move his treacherous mouth away, and nearly screamed at the unwarranted interruption. Gods, but he knew how to infuriate her.
“Keikelius!” she snapped, falling back to the bed in unfulfilled frustration. “Why must you torment me so?!” Her complaint bordered on a whine, punctuated by broken breaths and irritated looks. “You threaten to finish off yourself, and I’m about to do the same!” With a half-hearted glare, she pushed at his shoulders. “What did I do to deserve such a cruel husband, hm? One who insists on teasing his wife when all she wants is to feel him buried inside her…”
Seeing that she was getting nowhere, she released her breath in a heavy sigh, one of the hands on his shoulders moving to stroke his face instead. Fine. Let him have it his way; she didn’t want to keep fighting it. They both won in the end.
“Please, my love,” she finally whispered, her tone both sweet and cajoling. “Please, I can’t bear it. I want you, I need you, please…” Her fingertips ran through the coarse hair of his beard, stopping to run the ball of her thumb over his lower lip. “Don’t keep me waiting any longer. Don’t you think we’ve waited long enough?”

The cheshire smile that curled the man's lips was unmistakable. He had won and the moment she snapped his own name at him, he'd known that he had her right where he wanted her. Keikelius rather liked this game. The game that often seemed to go around and around in circles until either one of them got what they truly wanted. He liked the way that her hips writhed against his tongue. It pleased him to bear witness to the intensity with which she gripped the bedsheets as she got close and closer to finding that moment of complete bliss she was seeking.
Keikelius chuckled when she pushed at his shoulders, attempting to bully him off of her. But her words had him aching. The man had to close his eyes and breathe out evenly to keep his composure. Admittedly, he wanted nothing more than to bury himself inside of her. But this was one of the few games in his life that he actually enjoyed playing. The man had learned from early on in their marriage that keeping her wanting and breathless was one of the greatest turn ons he could ever ask for.
And it was such an easy feat to make a reality.
"You know exactly how you came to deserve me, my princess," he mused with calculated ease. He even rest his cheek against her thigh for good measure, wanting to see how long it would take her to start begging. Not that he really had to wait that long. Moments later, she was doing just that, pleading for him to finally take her with her fingers trailing through his beard and her thumb wandering his bottom lip.
And he finally yielded, giving her a soft smile as he started to kiss his way back up her body. He didn't kiss her lips, not wanting to make her feel weird about tasting herself, instead leaning into her neck. "I like it when you ask nicely," he purred teasingly, his fingers wandering down to her hips to shift her body in order for him to settle properly between her thighs. Nipping down onto her neck, the Stravos lord used a single hand to position himself, then bringing both of her legs up around his hips as he finally sunk into her.
The man groaned, successfully unfocused now that he was finally getting what he'd been aching for for days. He didn't like the distance. If anything, the death of Minas had been the worst thing to happen simply because he hadn't been able to have his own wife like this. But now that he had her? She was in for a long night. "We've both waited far, far too long," Keikelius breathed, kissing her jaw as he settled fully against her. His movements were slow, torturous as he started to work their bodies together. Just like pleasuring her moments before, he wanted to take his time.

Circenia was practically floating by the time Keikelius kissed his way back up her body, a sigh of bliss parting her lips when he settled himself between her thighs. Her moan rumbled in his ear when he finally entered her, head tipping back and legs wrapping tighter around his hips to encourage him further inside. It was like a homecoming long awaited, one that filled her with joy and a deep sense of satisfaction that she’d not find anywhere else.
“Far too long, indeed,” she agreed in a breathy voice, her fingers tangling in his hair and pulling his face back to hers. She hardly cared about the taste of her own arousal, especially when weighed against the smoky flavor of her husband’s mouth. Meeting his lips in a passionate kiss, her hips moved in the same slow torturous rhythm as his. Though she’d been eager to accept her release only moments ago, now that he was within her, she was in no mood to hasten it along. She wanted to drag it out for as long as she could, to rememorize every inch of his body and for him to do the same.
“I never want to go so long without your touch again,” the princess informed her husband, her nails dragging along his back to stop at his shoulder before she was kissing him once more. The sweet caress was languid and protracted, her lips moving over his again and again, paired with each thrust down below. “I feel like I’ve been parched with thirst for months and only just led back to water again.”
One particular movement of his hips had her losing her train of thought, eyes briefly fluttering shut with a groan of approval. Once she regained some semblance of cognition, she looked back at his face and her own softened. “I love you, Keikelius,” Circenia whispered, her core tightening around him as he moved within her. “As the sun loves the sky and the moon loves the stars, that is how long for you.” Nudging the tip of her nose against his, she pulled him in for another kiss, one of her hands reaching down to his hip to redirect their rhythm.
Pulling away after a long moment, she pressed her lips to his cheek and then his jaw before leaning back to look at him again. “I am sorry when my anger pulls me away from you, and I am even more sorry it did so for this long,” she went on in a soft murmur, pressing her forehead to his. There was genuine contrition in her voice that added a deep sincerity to her rare apology. “I know you only did what you had to, and I am sorry I laid blame on you. You are the most wonderful husband I ever could have asked for, and a magnificent father to our children. The gods truly blessed me the day they led me to you.”
Blue eyes met hazel in an adoring gaze, slim hands moving up to cup his face. One last kiss was pressed to his lips before a broad grin dimpled Circenia’s cheeks. “Now. Make love to me until I can no longer stand.”

Being inside of her was like him finding the greatest warmth and greatest source of love all at once. Nothing else compared. The other women he had had when he was younger had ceased to compare long ago. No sooner had he asked her hand in marriage than he had been utterly and completely content with their situation. Having tasted her for the first time on the night before their wedding, Keikelius had never seen reason to be disappointed. Circenia was anything but. She was like a breath of fresh air and being away from her for so long had only made the tightness in his chest sharp and uncomfortable.
Keikelius knew he had upset her by siding with Persephone, but in the wake of them losing their nobility he had needed to save face. True enough, he did hold the opinion that change was good, but not at the cost of his family line. At least being with Circe ia gave him the impression that all was well even when it wasn't.
Her fingers twisting into his hair gave him more purpose and he found himself kissing her harder than before, his hips snapping against her and his hands caressing her skin. She was poetic tonight, something he had long found himself to enjoy. A woman like Circenia did not go around sharing her feelings on a whim. But making love to her always seemed to drag them out of her. At least he was doing something right. Breathless and maybe a little dizzy, he pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. "And I love you," he rumbled affectionately. The only woman he would ever say those words to. "You're so poetic to tonight," he observed easily.
But his hands were roaming and hers were exploring. Her lips were trailing her skin and he was remiss to keep talking. He heard every word she had said, but he didnt feel like he needed to add anything else. Circenia had said enough for them both and it only spurred his need to have her wanton and entirely unable to speak for however long he saw fit. Her order to make love to her until she couldn't stand made him chuckle. Nodding, "Of course, princess," he whispered affectionately.
Later in the night, when Keikelius finally let them rest, he pulled his wife against his side, his fingers threading through her hair rather absently. "I know you didn't like my decision to side with Persephone. But when cornered, I have to make choices for the family that might be difficult to swallow. There might be more in the future. Can you handle that, Circenia?" Keikelius asked as the candles burned low, sending gentle shadows across the walls.

Can you handle that, Circenia?" Keikelius asked as the candles burned low, sending gentle shadows across the walls.
Keikelius made good on her request, making love to her so thoroughly that Circenia was half-convinced she wouldn’t be able to stand for the next week, much less the next day. By the time they were through and her husband had wrung every last bit of pleasure from her that he could, she was more than sated—resting contentedly against her lover’s chest with her fingers idling through the curly wisps of hair that grew there.
When Keikelius first spoke again, she didn’t seem to hear, her eyes starting to drift shut in a blissfully satisfied exhaustion that she hadn’t felt in far too long. It took Circenia a moment to realize he was addressing her, reluctantly dragging her crystalline eyes open to tilt her head back and look at him. “I understand there are difficult decisions you will have to make, my love,” she finally said after a long moment of consideration. “Such are the games of the Court and Senate. This is something I know all too well.”
Withdrawing enough from his embrace that she could prop herself on her elbow to look at him, Circenia tilted her head at her husband. “I also understand it was not possible this time, but when faced with those difficult decisions, I would like it if you spoke to me first. At least if only for me to know what’s going on.”
Shrugging lightly, Circenia continued, “I know that my voice only holds so much weight anymore when it comes to the grander politics of Athenia. But I also know that you married me for more than just my looks.” Grinning, she pressed a gentle kiss to her husband’s lips, slowly running her hand through his close-cropped hair. “You, more than anyone, know that I am not just a spoiled wife. Even if I am certainly that.”
The princess laughed before quickly sobering again. “I just want the chance to offer input when I can. If we can prevent something like this from ever happening again… I don’t want to be blindsided, that’s all. And in that, I want to make sure that our futures, and our children’s futures, are secure, even if we have to make these tough choices to get there.”
The hand in his hair stroked toward his beard, briefly resting her forehead against his. “I trust you, Keikelius, I do. But you know how hard it is for me to roll over and admit defeat, and siding with Persephone… that’s what it felt like. Even if it was the smartest choice in the end.” She smiled, stole another kiss, and pulled back. “It might take me a while, but you know I’ll usually come around if it really is the right thing. I just like being part of the decision that it is the right thing.”

Circenia's touch was often something that Keikelius could not help but bask in. Even in the afterglow of such a satisfying night, it was difficult not to be drawn back into her. If she had asked for more of him, he would have happily given it to her despite the exhaustion he felt straight to his bones. Devoted in every sense of the word, he truly would have done anything to ensure that his wife was happy. Contented. More pleased than words could really say.
Pressing lightly into each touch she graced him with, Keikelius remained patient as Circenia spoke, letting his gaze follow her features and the formation of each word that left her lips. The dim light of the lantern beside their bed was just enough for him to see her clearly, but the added glow of the moon through their windows was what drew him to keep his gaze on her. The way that the moonlight cascaded across her tanned skin brought a slight smirk to his lips.
He was paying attention and he was focused on her, but he spent considerable time admiring her. It was only when her lips finally brushed his that he leaned up and pressed his hand tenderly against his jaw. After a few moments, they pulled back from one another and Keikelius let out a deep sigh.
"It was the smartest choice in the end," he murmured lightly, keeping his grey gaze on hers. "You know that more than anything I try not to make any decisions without your input... but when Elias was being dragged out of the Senate, quite literally kicking and screaming, I knew that I had to do damage control. We had just lost our claim to nobility and I needed to ensure that I remained seated in the Senate and that anything I said was not favoring my own family," he sighed through his nose and dropped back against the pillows.
There was a bit of a long pause, "I never had any idea that Elias had orchestrated any form of treason in order to come out ahead if such a thing is even true. I am not sure who to believe because I truly would not put it past our son to take desperate measures whenever he is feeling cornered," Keikelius said in a low tone, now staring toward the ceiling. "I needed to ensure that we would not be implicated as treasonous alongside him. For that, I had to side with our niece," Keieklius finished in a low hum. "Nothing I do is to make you purposely unhappy," he conceded. "I never truly wanted to see any of it come to this. Putting Elias on the throne should have been much simpler than it has been."
With his palm pressed to his beard, he silently debated his words, finding his mind turning sluggish. With a soft smile that he reserved for her and only her, Keikelius opened his arms to her. "But now, I think both of us require sleep, princess. We can discuss a new course of action come morning." When she settled back into his embrace, Keikelius found himself brushing his lips to her forehead. "I love you," he murmured low under his breath. "Never forget that."
