Amalia of Athenia
Amalia of Athenia, Citizen of Athenia
Far too beautiful for her station, Amalia worked as Lysta of Antonis's handmaiden since her childhood. Similar in age to her mistress, she was originally purchased as a friend and playmate to the noblewoman and then became part of Lysta's Court retinue. As she grew more beautiful, and Lacides's wife became ill and often bedridden, Amalia was sought out by Lacides. Helpless to his authority, courage and aura, Amalia fell madly in love with the marriage General. The tryst lasted only long enough to conceive a son and, with evidence of the affair on public display, Amalia was dismissed from the House of Antonis and now lives in the city as a seamstress. Still devoted to the general, Amalia has never remarried and, instead, pours her love and dedication into the relationship with her son, Leonidas.
