Dearest Princess Circenia of Stravos,
I do apologize for the infrequency of my correspondence. It has been so busy lately, what with balancing the senate, running a household, and raising my girls. I’m sure your husband understands this well. However, this is no excuse, for my mother always claimed consistency to be the greatest of all assets and I fear I have disappointed her memory in my letter-writing. My deepest apologies.
I heard of the chaos as of late in Athenia. Your son is under house arrest awaiting trial? I scantly could believe the news! Surely, the truth got lost in the waves of the sea. I do not believe that a Stravos would entangle themselves so publicly. Surely there are greater plans in play. Elias is blessed that he has an intelligent mother, so I feel confident that these times are secure in your management. Still, I could not imagine the pain you must be under. I pray to the gods for a swift resolution and your son’s innocence is proven. My heart truly breaks for you and your family in these troubled times.
Should you wish for time away from your difficulties, however, I offer you the haven of Colchis. Essa and Danae have proven the better than the two of us with their correspondence with each other, and I’m sure the pair would love to see each other again. I pray that the strength of our people can be of aid to you now and that the people of Athenia know calm once more. Please, do not hesitate to contact your friends in the North should you need any form of aid.
Kisses,
Princess Tythra of Drakos
