Despite the image that war and battles in general was bloody, tiring, and an ongoing thing, the truth was in much of the process in fighting and trying to emerge victorious, there was quite abit of waiting in between. Like now, when the Egyptian troops had long since arrived in the north, but still awaited the arrival of the Grecian army. They were all ready, of course, Narmer doubted Iahotep would allow it any other way - but there was only so much training to do.
After the evening meal, the man usually found himself at an odd end of what to do. Occasionally, he would join his men shooting the wind in conversation, sometimes recounting the days of which he spent wandering around Egypt's many provinces, Judea and at the borders of Bedoa, before he returned to finally take up the heritage left to him due to his father and brother's death. While he knew his responsibility and wouldn't shirk it at this point, to a certain extent, Narmer still wanted to return to those carefree years he spent exploring, blissfully ignorant of the troubles to face him when he returned.
Yet this evening, his troubles plagued his mind in it's forefront, the key of which being his Hei. His one key in helping his Hei was marriage to the Sheifa's. What was he to do now, with Neithotep very clearly not wishing to continue? He had spoken to Iaheru, so that wedding, or any semblance of it, was all but called off.Narmer had managed to speak to Na'meah to update her of the circumstances before he left - but it still left him back at square one. He's had his share of girl's before, of course. But most of his bed partners had been those of the paid variety, or streetside whores he brought back to rooms for a night.
How did one woo a noble born lady?
Walking aimlessly around their campsite, the young Head of Hei drew up short when he realized whose tent he had found himself at. Osorsen and himself had grown very close when Narmer had spent a few months under the training of his grandfather, realizing they shared many traits, key of which a love for women and beer - but it had been many weeks since he had last spoken to the man. With he and his desperate chase of the Hei Sheifa to solve his family's financial issues, and Narmer was sure Osorsen had his own set of problems to worry about, they had simply not have the chance to speak.
But his friend had always been very welcomed among women, noble and whores alike. Surely he would have a suggestion for him?
Approaching the entrance, Narmer cleared his throat to signify his presence outside, before pushing aside the flap to peer in, trying to seek out teh figure of his friend as he called out, "Akhy? It has been awhile."
