Somra was bored once more, this idle time was killing her. She was used to being out every day working for her keep, performing and wowing crowds for her gold. Now she felt like she spent more time sitting around waiting to be told what to do than she spent actually doing anything. She wasn’t a fan of it, and she hoped that things would speed up soon. She wouldn’t have signed up for all of this if she thought that she would spend so much time idle. She couldn’t get her energy out in her usual ways, performing and tight rope walking and just generally risking her life. If she was being honest, she sort of felt like she was losing her mind.
She decided that today she wanted to do something, anything. Hell, she would even settle for sleeping with Khanh at that moment if it meant that she was able to at least expend some energy and waste some time. Thankfully he seemed to be no where around in her potential moment of weakness, and instead in her wanderings of their hideout, she spotted Zai. Well, he ought to at least prove to be entertaining. Out of all the Sariqas that she worked with, he was the one that didn’t seem to hate her at least. He seemed to actually be a fun person, and she decided that it couldn’t hurt to at least attempt to get to know him better.
She paused a moment, unsure of how he would react if she interrupted what ever he was doing. He didn’t seem as angry and abrasive as the other men in the group, but perhaps she was wrong and if she interrupted him, perhaps he would turn angry with her. She waited for just a few moments, weighing the risk of pissing him off against just how bored he truly was.
She inhaled the musty air of the abandoned building and took the few steps closer to him, sort of peering over his shoulder to see what he was doing, or at least attempting to. She couldn’t really see, so she dropped back down from her tip toes and cleared her throat to get his attention, not sure if he had noticed her approach or not.
“Hey.” She said simply, she had learned to be quieter, to talk less because every time she opened her mouth she only seemed to piss the people in the group off more and more. This whole thing was not quite what she thought it was going to be, and so far it had not proven to be a lot of fun.
“What are you up to? Do you want to do something? I’m absolutely bored and completely sick of this place.” She said, her talkative nature coming out just a bit as she spoke. She hoped like hell he didn’t mind. If she recalled from their small interactions, he was the most talkative of all of them, which suited her just fine. She needed someone who would actually talk to her, she was feeling rather lonely.
