The Temple of Minerva stands tall in the Campus Aggripae not just as a temple to Minerva the goddess, but as a plea to her role as a healer. It is a beautiful structure, surrounded by the olive and mulberry trees sacred to the goddess and topped by a decagonal dome that truly shows off the marvel of engineering achieved here. Inside, the central hall is enormous in size, reaching almost thirty-five metres in height and almost the same in diameter. Around the entrance, there are nine niches carved into the marble walls where the owls sacred to Minerva often sit as messengers of her divine will and, above them, ten rounded windows that let in a steady stream of light. Everything is covered in stark white marble, and the air smells sweetly of burning incense as worshippers congregate to offer their love and petitions to the goddess.
